Order 5ft magazine Vol.01, our first issue, and two small extras come in the package with it. We made them to hold on a little longer to the time before and after you read.

While making our first issue in print, what we thought about longest was the experience outside the pages. We wanted something of 5ft magazine to stay with you even in the brief moments of opening the envelope, taking out the magazine and setting it down on your desk. So the first issue comes with an aperture and shutter speed exposure card and a film box sticker.

1. Aperture and shutter speed exposure card

When you head out with a film camera, sometimes you have to think of the numbers before the picture. How strong is the sun? How much cloud is there? Where should the shutter speed and aperture sit? The exposure card is a small reference chart made for those moments.

Built on a chart for ASA 100, it lays out settings for each situation at a glance, from a bright sea or sandy beach to shade on an overcast day. It won't hand you the exact answer. Think of it as a small map that helps you get your bearings before you shoot.

2. Film box sticker

The second extra is a film box sticker, a nod to where 5ft magazine started. We redrew Kodak UltraMax 400, the film of our first issue, in 5ft magazine's own graphic language and made it into a sticker for your laptop, notebook or camera case.

A sticker is more about mood than function. A sign that you love film, a sign that you want to keep taking pictures, or just a small spot of color on your desk. We hoped it would be another way to keep the first issue close.

Small things that stay with the magazine

Once you've read a magazine, it goes on the shelf. The extras stick around in a different way: the exposure card in your camera bag, the sticker on something you use every day. We hope the feeling of the first issue carries on outside its pages that way.

Both extras are included with every purchase of 5ft magazine Vol.01, our first issue. They are packed in while supplies last and may run out early.
